People Obtaining Workplace Employment Requirements - Certificate

The People Obtaining Workplace Employment Requirements (POWER) Certificate program prepares students for entry into trades training and employment. Students will learn the essential skills required to begin training in trades programming, including trades oriented mathematics and science. They will also learn personal skills in areas of communication, decision making, job search and study skills, common safety requirements, and hand and power tool identification and usage, preparing students for entry into a foundation level trades programs.

Parts and Warehousing Apprenticeship

A Parts & Warehousing Person is often responsible for receiving goods and sorting incoming parts, supplies and materials in a warehouse atmosphere. They maintain shipping and receiving records on the amount, kind and location of parts and supplies shipped or received and process purchases and reconcile inventories with physical counts. Completion of the program makes the student eligible for ITA accreditation.

Millwright Foundation

Millwrights install, repair, overhaul and maintain machinery and heavy mechanical equipment, such as conveyor systems in diverse settings including repair shops, plants, construction sites, mines, logging operations, ski hills and most production and manufacturing facilities.
