A welder is a person who has training in and is capable of welding ferrous and non-ferrous metals in all positions, on both plates and/or pipe, using various welding processes.

This hands-on program will take place mostly in a shop environment allowing you to gain practical trades experience. You will work on a variety of projects under the guidance of Red Seal instructors, in CNC's state of the art trades training facilities.

In this course students learn safe work practices, trades terminology, basic hand skills, safe use of tools and equipment, a general working knowledge of the trades and the path to an apprenticeship and a career in the skilled trades. After an Intro to Trades program our students have a better sense of which skilled trade appeals to them, what the prerequisites are for further training and what the path looks like to work opportunities.
