The Machinist Foundation program provides students with the theory and practical experience to enter the machinist trade. A machinist sets up and operates all machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, saws, grinding machines, drilling and boring machines, precision-measuring tools, hand and power tools.

This program offers all four years of technical training for the machinist apprenticeship. The apprentice training covers the required theory and provides hands-on experience.

The Land and Water Resources (LWR) Diploma program prepares students to effectively conserve and repair disturbed land and riparian zones, as well as monitor water quality and quantity. The main focus of the program is reclamation of sites disturbed by industrial development and activity, and the regulations of reclaiming such sites as per the BC Oil and Gas Commission and relevant government bodies.

Women belong in the trades. Intro to Trades for Women teaches safe work practices, trades terminology, necessary hand skills, safe use of tools and equipment, general working knowledge of the trades and the path to an apprenticeship.
