The Environmental Engineering program recognizes the wide range of science and engineering backgrounds associated with this industry and is structured to accommodate the needs of a diverse range of applicants. The combination of foundation courses, applied environmental engineering courses, management courses and communication and general education courses provides a unique balance of skill sets that prepares candidates for a broad range of career opportunities.
The Bachelor Degree in Ecological Restoration provides graduates with a strong foundation in the methods available to restore a broad range of ecosystems that have been impacted by human influences in British Columbia, across Canada and in other parts of the world. Ecological Restoration graduates will not only bring skills and expertise to current employers but will also be leaders and innovators in this rapidly-developing industry.
This structured program requires significant discipline breadth, but also gives you increased flexibility to take a greater number of courses. You'll acquire conceptual skills, research skills, communication skills, and collaborative skills as you develop strong foundational knowledge in the sciences.

The Integrated Sciences specialization is designed for highly motivated students whose interests in science cross disciplinary boundaries. The specialization allows you to design your own interdisciplinary course of study that better reflects your interests and can help prepare you for additional study in the health sciences, law, journalism, engineering, or business.
Environmental Sciences concentrates on understanding the major environmental issues facing human societies and it adopts an integrative cross-disciplinary approach to the study of these issues. This program provides a significant background in physical sciences, earth and ocean sciences, and life sciences.
Gain a deep understanding of the economy and examine the social, cross-cultural, and ethical dimensions of economic decision-making. You’ll learn how to choose and apply appropriate quantitative methods to a range of economic issues, and effectively communicate complex economic issues. Your studies will include courses such as “Introduction to Game Theory and Applications” and “Economics of Renewable Resources.”
