College of the Rockies offers all three levels of Electrician Common Core technical training and Electrician, Construction Level 4 and Electrician, Industrial Level 4.

The program teaches aspects of residential, commercial and industrial wiring with a focus on residential. Students engage in a variety of classroom, lab and shop activities.

This program includes classroom sessions where as an apprentice you will learn theoretical principals of electricity and applied concepts of the Canadian Electrical Code. Laboratory sessions help to reinforce electrical concepts covered by the theory classroom component.

Through individual learning plans, courses introduce students to workplace skills, provide the opportunity to demonstrate employment readiness and open the door for future learning and employment in our communities and beyond. This program combines an interactive classroom experience with work placement within the community.
