Position Overview:

Finning Canada is seeking a Journeyperson Electrician/Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic (Dual Ticket preferred) to join our team in Cranbrook. In this role, you will be responsible for installation, repair and maintenance of both mechanical and electrical equipment as well as switchgear wiring.

Job Description:

Qualifications:

  • Interprovincial Electrician Certification
  • Previous electrical experience on heavy equipment
  • Power Generation experience is an asset
  • Generator experience would be an asset
  • Heavy Duty Mechanical experience or certification would be an asset
  • Team player capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organization, and communication skills and a commitment to safety
  • Valid drivers license with a successful recent drivers abstract

 

 

Note:

  • You must be willing to pursue your Apprenticeship – Heavy Duty Mechanic
  • This position is located at our Cranbrook Branch on a 5x2 shift
  • This role may require field work
  • A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
  • Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement
  • Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement

 

Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
