We’re looking for a Certified Millwright to join our redesigned, modern lumber mill located near Williams Lake, British Columbia. Our Lakeview Division safely and sustainably produces over 230 million board feet of lumber per year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities. 

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  •  Experience working as a Millwright with a valid Interprovincial Ticket
  •  Experience troubleshooting hydraulic systems.
  •  Ability to read blueprints, plans and schematics.
  •  Strong problem-solving skills.
  •  Commitment to working safely.
  •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  •  Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  •  Good organizational and planning skills.
  •  Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  •  Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) - preferably JD Edwards. 
  •  Previous experience in a forest products environment is considered an asset.

In this role, you will: 

  • Work with a high-performance team dedicated to maintaining all mill machinery including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers and chains, bearings and hydraulic systems involved in the manufacturing process.
  • Keep our systems running smoothly by performing preventative and predictive maintenance. This includes inspecting machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Win big by finding safe, creative ways to boost equipment reliability and streamline our processes.
  • Apply your knowledge, skills and experience to troubleshoot issues and come up with safe, reliable fixes to keep the mill running.
  • Share your knowledge with the next generation of maintenance rockstars – our Apprentices.
