THE OPPORTUNITY
Western Forest Products is currently seeking for a fully qualified Heavy-Duty Mechanic to join our Timberlands operations located in Port McNeill, BC.

This role is considered safety sensitive, all successful candidates will be subject to a pre-employment drug test.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Must be fully ticketed Red Seal HD Mechanic;
- All applicants must have a valid BC driver's license and be able to provide a driver's abstract;
- Preference may be given to the applicant holding a valid OFA Level 3 Certificate.
Skills, Knowledge and Required Competencies
- Preference will be given to those with experience in west coast logging equipment (Yarders, Log Loaders & Hydraulic Log Loaders);
- Highly developed machine diagnostic and repair skills are a benefit;
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision;
- Excellent safety record and strong work ethic.
