Western Forest Products have a new opportunity for a Reman Coordinator in Vancouver, BC.
What You’ll Do: The Reman Coordinator is an important leadership role coordinating the planning and execution at third-party facilities to deliver products and production volumes in a manner that supports the Company’s safety, sustainability, and financial goals. The Reman Coordinator must work effectively with operations, transportation, sales and marketing, supply chain, finance, and the third-party plants.
Who You Are: Experience in lumber manufacturing, preferably within quality control, production, lumber grading or related. This leadership role requires a great level of detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment: This role is to be performed out of our downtown office in Vancouver, B.C and with some travel across the lower mainland, B.C.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate Weekly Production Schedules based on Monthly Sawmill forecasted volumes provided;
- Communicate Production shifting levels and schedule to respective Reman Processing facilities;
- Issue work orders for every production run including setting them up on out internal inventory system;
- Monitor shipments from Sawmills to ensure wood is flowing to correct location and with correct length specs;
- Quality control visits at remanufacturing facilities to ensure dressing, grading and work order execution is maintained;
- Provide grade checks and feedback on finished and raw material;
- Manage packaging supplies required for product lines;
- Perform quarterly inventory counts as well as ensure integrity of inventory and monitor accums.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Sawmill and remanufacturing experience;
- Post Secondary education in Wood Products processing or equivalent, i.e., BCIT Industrial Wood Processing Certificate is preferred;
- Lumber Grading Ticket and experience with Lumber Inventory system strongly preferred.
Skills, Knowledge, and Required Competencies
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word;
- Experience with LISA or LT inventory programs is considered an asset;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate across all levels of the organization;
- Excellent problem solving skills;
