We’re looking for a Certified Welder to join our redesigned, modern lumber mill located near Williams Lake, British Columbia. Our Lakeview Division safely and sustainably produces over 230 million board feet of lumber per year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- An experienced Welder with a valid Interprovincial ticket.
- Commitment to working safely.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) - preferably JD Edwards.
- Fabricator endorsement, millwright experience and previous experience in a forest products environment is considered an asset.

In this role, you will:
- Keep safety top of mind as you apply your knowledge, experience and problem solving skills to troubleshoot issues.
- Use your knowledge of welding techniques and metallurgy to complete the lay-out, fitting and fabrication of metal components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, platforms, handrails, machine guarding and piping.
- Repair metal components and infrastructure using gas, arc-air, MIG, TIG and electrode as required.
- Accurately read blueprints and interpret OEM maintenance information to complete work to mill standards.
