We’re looking for a Certified Benchperson to join our redesigned, modern lumber mill located near Williams Lake, British Columbia. Our Lakeview Division safely and sustainably produces over 230 million board feet of lumber per year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- Experience working as a Certified Benchperson with a valid Interprovincial ticket.
- Previous circular saw filing experience.
- Commitment to working safely.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and schematics.
- Ability to follow work processes and procedures.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.

In this role you will:
- Work with a set of tradespeople and other team members to carry out maintenance on round and band saws and troubleshooting.
- Work collaboratively across your team and with other departments.
- Use your problem-solving skills to support troubleshooting and to look for and propose new ideas to streamline processes and fine-tune equipment.
- Use your knowledge and skills to recognize opportunities for improvement and cost-savings.
- Lead with your unwavering commitment to safety to keep yourself, our operators and other employees safe.
- Use your organization and planning skills to keep on top of your work.
