Overview of the Indigenous Forestry Scholarship Program

The BC First Nations Forestry Council's scholarship program provides support to First Nations, Inuit, and Métis students interested in attending full-time studies related to forestry. The scholarship funding can be used towards tuition, books, school supplies, and a living allowance throughout the school year.

Once accepted into the scholarship program, the funding is distributed through your regional
Indigenous Skills and Employment Training Program (ISETP) office. This means that you will need to be a registered ISETP client to access funding.

The scholarship includes a paid summer work placement with one of our program partners: BC Timber Sales, BC Wildfire Service, Mosaic Forest Management, Western Forest Products, Finning, Tolko and Drax.

Our scholarship program is currently only available to individuals living in British Columbia.

If you are interested in applying, complete an intake form and a career advisor will contact you to discuss next steps.
